Anand qualified in 2001 with distinction from King’s College London after which he completed his vocational training in Chelmsford, Essex.
In 2003, he went on to undertake a Senior House Officer post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Basildon Hospital during which time he was awarded membership of Faculty of Dental Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of England following the completion of extensive postgraduate training and examinations.
Having completed the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice at UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London, Anand then went on to complete a years long course in Orthodontics in London.
Anand joined the team in July 2007 and is committed to providing all aspects of general dentistry in a relaxed, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Anand particularly seems to calm nervous patients of all ages and is very popular with our child and older patients.
Anand is now providing increasing numbers of implant retained restorative solutions to patients of the practice and more recently is able to consult regarding Snoring and Sleep Apnoea following training by Professor Ama Johal of Queen Mary University of London.
Anand is keen to prevent the destruction of dentitions by the growing incidence of parafunction and bruxism with the use of splints.
Anand has been completing Invisalign orthodontics for patients at the practice for over 10 years with some stunning results.
Out of work Anand enjoys family life. He has recently taken up 5 A side football and is keen to enhance his fitness. At a faster pace he enjoys playing squash regularly and is a keen motoring enthusiast. Since qualifying he has travelled extensively and enjoys experiencing different cultures and countries.

Geoff graduated in 2010 with Honours from Trinity College Dublin. Following his initial year in general dental practice, he gained valuable experience as a restorative senior house officer in Cardiff Dental Hospital and worked as a maxillofacial surgery Senior House Officer in Wales.
He then worked as a restorative career development dentist in the Royal London Dental Institute whilst working part-time in a private practice in Angel, N1. His interests include prosthodontics, endodontics and aesthetic dentistry.
He was awarded membership to the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2011. In 2017, Geoff successfully completed the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute and is looking forward to expanding the provision of implant dentistry at the practice. Geoff is also a Member of the Endodontic Society.
Geoff has sailed competitively all his life, representing Ireland at many international competitions. He is also a very keen surfer and played rugby and hockey for his 1st XV/XI in school.
Samar Morgan (DDS, Milan 2000)

Samar qualified in 2000 with distinction from the University of Milan in Italy and then spent a further 3 years training in the Oral Medicine Department at San Paolo Hospital in Milan. This additional training has intensified her interest in Oral medicine, especially the early diagnosis of Oral Cancer. She has extensive experience in Private Dentistry, especially Cosmetic Dentistry, Orthodontics and Preventive Care.
She believes in continuing professional development and keeps attending seminars and courses.
She enjoys all aspects of Orthodontics in children and adults and has recently gained a Certificate in Holistic Orthodontics, a more natural approach to align the teeth without extractions and to rebalance the harmony between the body and the mouth.
She enjoys treating both adults and children, phobics and special needs patients with her caring attitude, friendly smile and gentle touch, putting nervous patients at ease with her relaxing techniques.
In her spare time, Samar enjoys reading, ironing, travelling and doing different sport activities.
Samar is fluent in Italian and French helping her communicate more easily with a wide range of patients
Rahul Shah MBChB BSc (Hons) MRCGP

Dr Rahul Shah has been trained in the practice of non surgical facial rejuvenation through Botox Training Club, one of the leading Botox training workshop providers in the UK. He is passionate about skin rejuvenation and the use of cosmecueticals, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers and such like to achieve these natural results to complement and enhance one’s appearance. He is completely professional in his holistic approach to providing this quality personal service in Surrey.
Dr Shah carries out his cosmetic work at various locations and is proud to now be working alongside his university friend, Dr Anand Patel, principal dentist and owner of Richmond Road Dental Practice offering a flexible and reliable service to clients in Kingston and the surrounding areas. Facial rejuvenation treatments complement cosmetic dentistry and with this new alliance comes a complete service at the practice.
Outside of these times, Dr Shah works as an established General Practitioner and a clinical educator of student doctors for the University of Cambridge. He has a keen interest in Dermatology and Diabetes, being a lead in these areas of medicine at his practice.

Dental Hygiene Therapist

Charlotte has worked in dentistry since 2011, qualifying as a Dental Nurse in 2013. Being highly motivated and passionate about hygiene therapy and behaviour change, Charlotte completed the Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy at Kings College NHS Trust in 2016.
Charlotte joined the team at Richmond Road Dental Practice in September 2017 in order to provide a dedicated and customised hygiene therapy service to new, existing and direct access patients. She has a strong ability to work with patients, both adults and children, to effect long lasting positive behaviour change.
She hopes to continue her professional development and in the short term is interested in completing a course in the provision of safe and effective tooth whitening.
Her interests outside of work include travelling, suspension training, dancing and socialising with friends and family.
Melissa Pemberton RDN(Nat Cert)

Melissa has been dental nursing since 1987 and has wide experience after 7 years in a mixed NHS /private practice, 4 years in a private cosmetic practice in town and joined us in 1997.
She still finds nursing enjoyable and challenging, is the source of much of the peals of laughter in the practice and has added a Diploma in dental radiography and a course in Implantology to her registered dental nurse qualification, as well as majoring in teaching oral hygiene to our patients.
Melissa enjoys spending time with her daughter and two grandchildren. Outside work she enjoys taking her dog for long walks, going out with the family, reading and gardening.

Netra joined the team in March 2015 . He qualified in 2008 and has since completed courses in Dental Photography and Implantology. He is very versatile and is a highly experienced dental nurse. His fun and happy-go-lucky character makes him easy to get along with and calming in the surgery.
Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, in particular his little niece. He regularly attends the gym, enjoys swimming and loves cooking!

Mihaela qualified as a dental nurse in 2014 and joined our team in March 2016. In a very short time, she has gained the confidence to work alongside dentists in general and specialist roles.
She believes that a visit to the dentist should be a pleasant and relaxing experience for everyone. Her friendly and caring manner is warmly appreciated by the patients.
Very curious by nature, Mihaela believes in a constant effort to gain knowledge. Before embracing Dentistry, she was a journalist. Her background has shaped her deeply and is the reason for her interest in politics, news and current affairs. In her spare time, she loves to watch documentaries fulfilling her hunger and curiosity to expand her knowledge base.
Helen started dental nursing in 1965 and after many years in the surgery decided to become a receptionist and welcome patients into the practice.
Helen enjoys getting to know new and existing patients and aims to make obtaining a convenient dental appointment and your visit, as pleasant as possible. With an all day cheerful nature and welcoming personality, she has been with us since 2003, and is the perfect person to welcome you to our practice.
Helen enjoys spending time with her two grown up sons and their families. She has recently welcomed her second grandchild, a beautiful granddaughter. Outside work she enjoys eating out, the theatre and visiting friends.
